Load and route compatible adapters

Inspect a registered adapter, load it into a compatible runtime, and verify a request before changing production routing. Keep evaluation and deployment as separate steps.

Updated

Reviewed against Console v0.2.2. Available actions depend on project access and runtime configuration; check your installed CLI version for command differences.

Inspect and load an adapter

bash
stimulir lab adapters get <adapter-id>
stimulir lab adapters load <adapter-id>

Check the base model, format and artifact availability first. Loading changes runtime state and consumes capacity. Confirm readiness from the response and runtime state before sending a request.

Verify the request contract

Use the adapter-routing fields accepted by the selected runtime and model. Do not assume every hosted provider route can execute a locally trained adapter. Preserve adapter identity and base-model identity in the evaluation evidence.

Understand runtime residency

Loaded state, eviction and any pinning behavior belong to the configured runtime. A load response does not promise indefinite residency. Confirm the deployment’s capacity and retention behavior with its operator before relying on it for production traffic.

Measure the actual route

Compare latency, errors, quality and usage for the selected base and adapter route. Include loading and warm-up effects where relevant. Training cost and inference cost are separate measurements.

Unload when appropriate

bash
stimulir lab adapters unload <adapter-id>

Confirm that active callers no longer depend on the adapter. Unloading it does not delete its artifact or reverse a production prompt-label move.

Promote only after review

Use Evaluation to establish a comparable result and review representative failures. Prepare and review a promotion proposal separately where the application uses prompt labels. Keep a known-good route available for rollback.

Command catalogue

Expand a command for its arguments. These commands follow the released CLI source; check stimulir --version and the command’s --help for your installation. Required flags are marked; some operations also validate combinations of inputs.

stimulir lab adapters get

Show an adapter's details.

adapter_id required
Positional argument. Adapter id.
--endpoint
HybrIE runtime URL (bypasses the console proxy).
--json
Emit raw JSON output.
stimulir lab adapters list

List registered adapters.

--endpoint
HybrIE runtime URL (bypasses the console proxy).
--json
Emit raw JSON output.
stimulir lab adapters load

Load an adapter into the runtime.

adapter_id required
Positional argument. Adapter id.
--endpoint
HybrIE runtime URL (bypasses the console proxy).
--json
Emit raw JSON output.
stimulir lab adapters unload

Unload an adapter from the runtime.

adapter_id required
Positional argument. Adapter id.
--endpoint
HybrIE runtime URL (bypasses the console proxy).
--json
Emit raw JSON output.

SDK method catalogue

Expand a client to inspect public methods and parameter names. Read each operation’s task guide before supplying a payload or starting work. The SDK returns platform responses; handle errors and inspect completion state before using a result.

client.lab_adaptersLabAdaptersClient
list()
Registered adapters (unwrapped from the runtime's "adapters"/"data" envelope).
get(adapter_id)
Returns the platform response; inspect its status and error detail.
load(adapter_id)
Load an adapter into the runtime (hot-swap for inference).
unload(adapter_id)
Returns the platform response; inspect its status and error detail.
