Usage and billing

Inspect measured requests, tokens and costs for a defined period. Keep operational usage, billing totals and missing measurements separate.

Updated

Reviewed against Console v0.2.2. Available actions depend on project access and runtime configuration; check your installed CLI version for command differences.

Read scope before totals

Overview shows recent project activity; individual Traces show request-level measurements. Settings → Project → Budget controls the project limit. Settings → Organisation → Billing and Pro tokens shows organisation-level billing. These are different scopes and should not be compared as if they were the same window and population.

A missing value shown as – is unavailable, not zero. A metering record without captured payload can still carry usage. Preserve request/run IDs when reconciling costs.

Read a usage summary

bash
stimulir usage --window 30d --group-by model
stimulir usage --window 7d --group-by day --json

Supported windows are 7d, 30d and month; grouping is by provider, model or day. Read the returned period and units before comparing totals. Select the correct workspace.

Inspect a bounded event export

bash
stimulir billing export-events --limit 100 --output usage-events.json

The export is a bounded projection of usage metadata. Keep it in an appropriate local location and do not infer a full-period total from a limited event sample.

Reconcile billing evidence

bash
stimulir billing snapshot
stimulir billing reconcile

The snapshot reports the current billing period. Reconciliation surfaces unmetered events that need attention. An incomplete measurement is not free usage; compare time windows, routing mode and units before claiming savings. Check current plan terms in the Console rather than treating documentation as a price list.

Command catalogue

Expand a command for its arguments. These commands follow the released CLI source; check stimulir --version and the command’s --help for your installation. Required flags are marked; some operations also validate combinations of inputs.

stimulir billing export-events

Explicitly export a bounded typed usage-event projection to a file.
